The JROTC program offers you a unique opportunity in self-development, and provides life skills knowledge for an optional career in the Armed Forces of the United States. The JROTC experience prepares you for responsible leadership roles, in doing so, we want to enlighten you of your rights and responsibilities as American citizens. JROTC provides student-centered active engagement instructions and rewarding opportunities that will benefit you, the community, and our nation at large. JROTC is essentially a leadership class. JROTC creates effective leaders for the future and in turn makes better citizens.

 

What is J.R.O.T.C.?

J.R.O.T.C. stands for Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps. It is not a recruiting program and does not enlist you in the military.

The purpose of J.R.O.T.C. is to prepare high school students for leadership roles while making them aware of the benefits of citizenship.

How much does the J.R.O.T.C. uniform cost?

Absolutely nothing. The uniforms are issued to you by and are the property of the federal government. If you lose or damage any parts of the uniform you are responsible for the cost.

    Does joining J.R.O.T.C. enlist you in the military?

   No, joining does not commit you in any way to join the military. J.R.O.T.C. simply uses military structure to instill leadership and discipline while making them aware of the beneifts of citizenship.
